This post is dedicated to my friends...Misty, Sterling, and Valerie who say they check our blog every day to see that it is still not updated. Hello...have you not learned yet? Maybe once a month :) Although I will have several things I want to post in the next week. But let's start with this one. So, this post is called "25" because the other day Misty posted "401" which was her 401st post. Yes, this is my 25th in a year! Hey...that's more than once a month. And I know you three girls are thinking right now you are pretty impressed with me for actually blogging Mason's party THE DAY of the party, but no...I'm not there yet :)
Anyway... Here's a look at the first half of April. Remember the "how have we not been to the ER yet picture?" Well, here is Mason actually practicing some form for his front flip. Now if he could only land on his feet and not his bottom.

We have had 7 weeks of t-ball and only 2 games, thanks to Spring Break, Easter weekend and rain. Here is a look at the FIRST BIG GAME (Go Rangers!)

Mason's team was in the outfield first. Mason actually did a really good job paying attention and stopping the ball on many plays, but this is the video I got. I'm thinking he got a little bored towards the end of the inning...what do you think?
1st at bat, 1st swing, 1st hit...
If you are wondering why he ran back to first base, we think the other team didn't quite get the rules right and the coach on 2nd sent him back. We are all still trying to figure out the rules. Apparently, the rules for 3-year old t-ball are much different from baseball.
April 4th...Happy 5th Birthday, Bailey!

After Mason's spring evaluation at gymnastics, he has been moved up to the green group :)
This is the 3rd of 4 groups in the preschool classes.

Meanwhile, at home, Mason has come up with some creative ways of practicing writing his letters. These are lincoln log letters. (actually, I helped him come up with the idea, but he made most of the letters all by himself)

At the park. Ignore me. Just look at the cute baby girl. (4 1/2 months old)

Happy Belated Easter! This Easter, I told Mason the story of Easter, how Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and then walked out of the tomb on the third day. I went into more detail, of course, drawing pictures of the story for him as I talked. I didn't really think he would get much of it so early, but I'm really excited to say that I think we planted the first seed in him wanting to know more about Jesus. He continued asking questions over the next week about Jesus being in Heaven and being able to look down on us. I then told him Jesus was also living in my heart. What a crazy thing for a 3 1/2 year old to hear! He put his ear to my heart and said, "I hear him!" It was too funny! But then he asked if Daddy had Jesus in his heart and after I said yes, he asked who was in his own heart. I told him that Jesus was not in his heart yet, but that he was waiting patiently for him to ask him to, and that one day, as soon as he understood what it meant and as soon as he was ready to accept Jesus Christ as his Savior and to ask him to forgive him of his sins, he would live in his heart. How much of this he got...I don't know. I would say not much, but I think their little minds are smarter than we think. He has continued to ask questions. And one day, I heard him mumbling to himself in the bathroom and after some mumbling, he yelled, "Jesus, come into my heart!" I look forward to the day he understands it and says this with meaning.
So on to the other Easter stuff...The evening before Easter, Mason had fun dying eggs.

What a ham!

Happy Easter! This is just a pic taken from Easter morning that I thought was cute.

We tried to get pictures at church in the garden, but it started raining as soon as we walked out of the service. Luckily, I got this picture of Mason and Brooke before church.
(Grandmas...don't print this one out from the blog. You may see it in the near future. Hint hint)

Coming home from church, we saw these ducks hanging out in our front yard.

The big egg hunt.

The big party pooper.

The loot.

Later in the day (after the rain had completely stopped and it turned into a beautiful, warm day), Carlton got out Mason's new slip-n-slide. The kids on the block played on it all afternoon. This is Mekhi and Mason.

Brooke had her first try at rice cereal last week. She actually seemed to enjoy it the first time (much better than Mason's first time...he didn't want to have anything to do with it). But after the first couple days of trying it, she gave up and just cried for her bottle. So we stopped because she was getting too frustrated. I think I'll try again in a week or so, maybe with oatmeal instead.

Pics of Mason's birthday party coming soon:)
