The funny things kids say...about babies in mommy's belly

A couple weeks ago, Mason saw some pictures of some pregnant women and we talked about how they each had babies in their tummies. He then asked me if I had a baby in my tummy. When I said yes and that he was going to be a big brother, he was very excited. He asked if he could hug the baby. It was very sweet. He talked all day about mommy having a baby in her belly. This turned into him telling me that he had a baby in his tummy...no, he had "lots of babies" in his tummy. The comments have gotten more and more humorous and I am sure there are many more to come. He continues to want to hug and kiss the baby every night before bed.

Here are some comments he has made...

"Mommy, I have tigers in my belly...see?" while opening his mouth, pointing into his mouth, so that I can look down his throat to see the tigers...then asking me to open my mouth so he can see my baby.

"Mommy, did you eat the baby?"

Yesterday, I had my monthly appointment with my OB. I took Mason and told him that we were going to the baby's doctor. When we were taken to the exam room, he looked everywhere and kept asking where the baby was. He was upset that he or she was not there. He did like hearing the heartbeat, although he was probably a little confused.

Our family vacation

We stayed at a resort near Lake Palestine this past week. We had a great time swimming, on the lake and at the on-site water park. Mason is definitely becoming a little fish this summer!

I took a pic of me at 12 weeks (yes, I am already showing!) but for some reason, I can't upload the pic to the blog. I'll take another pic in a couple weeks when I am 16 weeks and try again to post it.
